DevSecOps & Testing
Manual Teamcenter deployments are slow, and worse, they are inconsistent — which makes every environment difference a question rather than a known quantity. Automating the pipeline makes deployments boring, which is the goal.
Deployment Center integration
Wiring Siemens Deployment Center into a pipeline so environment builds are driven from version-controlled configuration rather than from someone following a checklist. The same inputs produce the same environment every time.
CI/CD pipelines
End-to-end pipelines covering build, deployment and promotion between environments, with the approval gates your change process requires. Secrets handled properly rather than pasted into job configuration.
Automated smoke testing
Playwright-based smoke tests that exercise the paths users actually take after every deployment: logging in, opening a structure, checking an item in and out. A deployment that completes successfully but leaves the application unusable should fail loudly, not silently.
Repeatability and rollback
Knowing you can go back is what makes it reasonable to go forward. We build rollback into the pipeline rather than treating it as an emergency procedure improvised under pressure.
What you get
- Deployment Center integration driven from version control
- CI/CD pipeline covering build, deploy and promotion
- Playwright smoke test suite run after each deployment
- Documented rollback procedure built into the pipeline
- Handover so your team can maintain and extend the pipeline
Common questions
- Which CI platforms do you work with?
- The approach is not tied to one platform. Tell us what you already use for other systems and we will build within it rather than introducing another tool.
- Is this worth it if we deploy rarely?
- Often yes, for consistency rather than speed. Infrequent deployments are exactly the ones where the manual steps have been forgotten since last time.
- Can smoke tests run against our existing environments?
- Yes. The test suite is useful on its own, even before the deployment pipeline work, as a way of checking an environment after any change.
